Understand what affects package forwarding and courier booking costs before you commit to a shipment.
Pricing depends on the service you use and what the parcel involves: origin, destination, actual weight, volumetric weight, dimensions, courier service, optional handling and any destination charges that may apply separately.
Package forwarding pricing
For parcels delivered to a Jetkrate warehouse first. Costs can differ by origin market, destination country, parcel profile, courier option and optional services such as consolidation or repacking.
Courier booking pricing
For parcels you already have and want to send internationally. Courier booking pricing is based on pickup country, destination, size, weight, service level and carrier availability.

Use the available Jetkrate pricing tools to compare the route and service options for your parcel. Estimates can change when final measurements, route, carrier, service level or destination charges are confirmed.
Package Forwarding lets you shop online in Jetkrate countries using your Jetkrate address, and then forward your purchases to you anywhere in the world.

Depth, Width and Height are needed for calculating volumetric weight, where the shipping company charge for the size of the parcel. Volumetric weight will need to be considered for most packages except relatively dense objects. Please see the FAQ for more details on volumetric weight.

Why dimensions matter
International carriers often use the higher of actual weight and volumetric weight. That means a large light parcel can cost more than a smaller dense parcel because it takes up more space in the transport network.
Actual weight
The physical weight measured on the scale.
Volumetric weight
The space a parcel occupies, calculated from its dimensions.
Chargeable weight
The higher figure carriers usually use for pricing.
How to keep costs sensible
The practical goal is to compare the full landed cost before ordering, especially for bulky or low-value items.
Destination charges are separate
Duties, taxes, customs charges, delivery-area fees or destination handling may apply depending on the shipment and destination. These are separate from Jetkrate service pricing.
Accuracy improves estimates
The more accurate your parcel weight, dimensions and route details are, the easier it is to choose the most sensible forwarding or courier option.
